Dear CHRM Members,

I would like to write a few lines. Kindly go through & respond in large numbers to create one of the biggest team in India under Enlighten HR. 

Inspite of globalization / liberalization, the HR functions have not been given the required weightage it deserves in most of the organizations. Although HR being one of the key subject & function, the Management is yet to ascertain its importance of its usefulness. They still do not consider this resource as profitable & important even today. The Management regularly refurbish the furnitures & fixtures, vehicles, ac & other equipments by spending huge amount of money but when it comes to the employees no one is ready to invest. This is the normal trend which we see in all kinds of industries. 

The Management hire Advisors / Practitioners / Consultants who suggest temporary solutions by floating, twisting the statutory provisions to their convenience thereby pleasing the people at the top. It is a mockery of the HR function. The internal functionaries in the HR are not given the due weightage & often they see themselves as a mere spectator in the overall scheme of things. According to me the HR being a key function the HR Professional have to play a bigger role in safeguarding the interests of its employees who give out their best through out their life. 

In order to handle Top Management, we need to be come together & find out some pertinent solutions which could be uniformly applied to all sectors / industries. 

For the change to happen, we need to find answers to some questions which we have to pose ourselves & to our HR fraternity. These questions / answers shall come from all of us in whatever capacity we work. Being a practicing HR, we owe to give back to the society in whatever we can to the HR & its people in the years to come. Thus, we solemnly pledge that we will not only work for the betterment of HR function but enlighten & enhance it over the years. 

 

OUT OF THE SEVERAL QUESTIONS FROM THE MEMBERS, WE CHOOSE ONE QUESTION BY CONSENSUS GIVE OUT OUR OPINIONS BASED ON THE FACTS / PRINCIPLES / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE WHICH WE POSSESS & EVOLVE A WHITE PAPER EVERY MONTH CIRCULATED TO ALL.
