As far as i know ISO doesn't prescribe any particular format. Its exciting to develop your own format keeping the standard in mind. Talking from my own experience in application of ISO in HR.

Hello Hitesh,

We are ISO 9001:2000 certified company and I am the Management Representative for ISO. Training has been covered under ISO since manpower is the major factor affecting quality. ISO does not specify any format. We are supposed to design our own procedure & formats. It is necessary to assess competency of people affecting the quality of product/services and identify the gaps, provide training, assess effectivess periodically & make necessary alterations in the training plan based on feedback, effectiveness, etc. Plotting of trends is very important since ISO is basically for improvements and with trends charts we have clear picture of the previous and current status.

You therefore need to have the following : system for competency mapping, training calendar, training records of employees, feedback forms, effectivess assesssment forms, appraisals, etc.

Cheers,

Jigar

Firstly, let me say that we do have some basic formats which were designed by our ISO consultant, but which I feel are insufficient and do not meet the requirements from a HR stand point of view. As such, I was just trying to get a feeler about what documents are being followed by other companies and the formats of the same.

Secondly, I would really like to know the impact of such documentation on the overall HR process. Did they help in increasing our productivity or is it a hinderance for better output from our end?

Regards,

Ashish
