Hello chrm,

My first message and am seeking for an advice. I was in HR previously, but left the field 6 years ago. I had moved on to other opportunities that fitted my needs at that time. I have recently become unemployed due to the downsizing of my business and since the things weren't working fine on the business front. Now, after much slag, I've decided to re-enter the HR field as an assistant or a generalist. I know the field has changed tremendously since I was last involved. What suggestions might one offer to help me get back in the group?

I have an AA in Business Administration. I am just short of my BA and am planning to complete that soon. I have recently been working as a Field Trainer for a printing company. I am fairly computer literate, but I have never seen HRIS or PeopleSoft, the most we used was an old scheduling system called GAR. Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help !
