How to promote Innovation in organization that too when you are at junior level ? How should junior level executive promote their ideas?

I appreciate De. Jha for having raised up this topic.

- Build up a forum where all the employees can share their ideas, views or even grievance. Its important to define the purpose and importance of Innovation to the crowd.

- Encourage and motivate every manager and their subordinates to participate enthusiastically in this forum. Appreciate "QUANTITY", "QUALITY" will automatically come.

- At the sametime, ensure that they get reviewed at the earliest possible time.

- Implement the same and reward (of course, the ones which makes logical sense) at the earliest possible time.

This kind of a forum ensures participation at all levels and it has worked well in many organisations.

Hope I was able to contribute to the debate.....

More views are welcomed.

Hello!

I am afraid I was not able to participate in the discussions for sometime due to my job requirements...

I agree with Pooja and her views and I feel that the immediate managers are very important to encourage their subordinates to participate in this program. They should take initiative and responsibility to invite ideas to make the work and working environment better.

This will also make the subordinates feel important and motivated. Ofcourse the ideas should be given due importance and feedback about it will invite better participation.

Dear Colleagues,

Most of the executives at junior level are afraid of putting their ideas to their superiors. Superiors plays an important role in motivating for innovation. These are some of the ways to promote innovation.

1.In colleges/school they used to organize debate competitions. In the similar way competitions should be organized for innovations. This brings the idea of innovation among the executives and also take out fear in them. This is the first step to invoke innovations.

2. Ask them to provide innovative solutions for any given problem.

3.While making presentation/working on solutions involve them.

4. Involve them in meetings/making presentation to higher ups.
