Dear Benny,

Doing a training need analysis requires a lot of ground work.

Step 1: I would suggest you to create a questionnaire (or a format) and ask the employees to fill it. This questionnaire should include the training program he would like to undergo and why? How will it help in improving at his present job etc

Step 2: Discuss the feedback with the manager whether the employee requires to undergo that particluar training program. Ask the manager to discuss with the employee in case if he feels that the employee does not require that training program, with reasons.

Step 3: If the Manager also feels that he requires the employee to undergo that particular training program, nominate him for the same.

Hope this helps....

Regards

Ash
