Difference Between Rich/Poor People

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the
country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be
considered a very poor family.

On the return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the
trip?"

"It was great, Dad."

"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.

"Oh yeah," said the son.

"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father. The son
answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four.

We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a
creek that has no end.

We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night.

Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have
a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our
sight.

We have servants who serve us, but they serve others.

We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to
protect them."

The boy's father was speechless. Then his son added, "Thanks, Dad, for
showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if
we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what
we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!

"Life is too short and friends are too few."

Dear Barkha & Members,

What a nice way to differentiate the presence and absence of material possessions in comparison to the humanic approach to the rich and poor. This story truly says it all. Perspective is all that can make a difference in visualising and thinking on a same play. It is a spearhead for the realization of two thoughts that cross our mind each time we fail to succeed or think of defeat. But what if we just reverse this thinking attribute of our's and look at the other side where people never often look towards, yeah there lies the inspiration to perspective thinking. Its just two faces of a coin. And to look beyond a particular facet, we require a deep perspective.

For instance, let me share this brief write-up with you which can decide a lot of on a perspective insight :

A Different Perspective | www.wow4u.com

Think about
“a boss”,
“a supervisor”,
“a manager”.

Automatically you think of the top person, the one who makes all the decisions, the one who tells you what and how to do it. The one who you never question or voice your opinion to.

Now what about "a coach”?

Do you think of a person who helps you, who demands the best of you, who teaches you, who encourages you, who motivates and inspires you to become all you can be.

Which paragraph best describes you?

Now did you realise that, thats what we call a perspective. Nothing but a differentiated thinking of a same thought.

Anyone with their commenets on this !!

Regards,

Saumil Joshi
