We have sent an employee to US on H1B visa. We have signed up a contract with him that he will stay with us for 18 months, from the date of travel. During the span of contract, his H1B got expired and we had renewed the same.
I require the clarifications on:
1. At the end of 18 months should we renew the contract again for 18 months? Is this the industry practise? 2. We have incurred some cost on extension of H1B visa. Should we include this cost and redraft the original contract or can we amend the existing contract or should we wait for the renewal to build in those costs?
Please clarify the above in the light of your company practise and the general industry standards. Regards Nikhil
