Team:

I want to just enquire that while setting the KRA of a person do you keep the project goals in mind and frame them or the companies' goal in mind. Also who and how the KRA of the CEO/Chairman is set.

Can anybody give me an insight into this query of mine?

Thanks

Benjamin

The starting point for all is the Business Plan for the whole company for say 3 years or 5 years. Then, the business plan for the current year followed by actual budgeting exercise (both cost and revenue). This is generally done 3 months b4 the company's financial year. Budgets are further broken down division/department wise. The annual business plan/budget exercise is generally a participative exercise of senior management. The entire annual biz plan is CEOs KRAs. This then flows down to division / department heads and then further down to Managers and so on and so forth.

I hope this answers your question to some extent, feel free to write more if you wish....

Rajesh

Dear All,

I understand the KRAs & objectives to be two different yet interrelated things.

The Objectives of the CEO would be basis the business plan of the company/division/country & would be primarily strategic statements like Improve communication within the org. Improve sales by a%%.

The KRAs are the activities which can be measured & shall help in achievement of the objectives like Increase rural sales by x %.

Establish a system of formal & informal commn across all levels in the org through monthly all hands meet etc.

The KRA for the CEO would translate into obj for the the directors & subsequently the people down below.

Cheers

Affluenthr
