Hi all !

I am reproducing here some extracts from some outbound training camps. Hope you find them interesting. Comments are welcome.. and brickbats too...

By nature, man is an adventurous being. Since discovering his ability for speech, man has made the most of it and has evolved into a superior species on earth. But his instinct for discovery and adventure has not diminished. Humans always keeps searching for new frontiers to explore, the latest being the successful landing of NASA Rover Spirit and finding signs of water on the planet Mars.

When we venture into an atmosphere to which we are not used to, our mind enters a so called stretch zone, where we are more receptive to new ideas and concepts. Our basic instinct is to enter a survival mode to overcome obstacles, challenges and our fears. We also tend to stay closer to people accompanying us which is again a natural instinct to ward of an enemy by staying together.

This stimulates cooperation, creativity, improvisation, and trust.

Regards

P Thakur
