Dear All, I've been put up to design an orientation program for a B-school, which prepares the students for various subjects to come and brings the entire student batch at one common level of understanding Management Subjects. The orientation has a 15 day schedule. I am looking for guidelines in creating this orientation program from this group. Anticipating a supportive response. Regards Paul

The guidelines go as follows:
a) fill gaps in minimum competencies through rememdials - use admission/education data to focus/ b) build soft skills - MS-Office, oral/written commuications, case method, team work c) increase motivation - behavioural workshops, guest speakers, films, corporate visits, norm setting d) benchmark with others - see remedial programmes of IIM and others e) put yourself in the participants's shoes - take your mind back 8 years when you were starting f) don't reinvent the wheel - outsource the task to carefully selected experts (like yours truly - to make an unabashed sales pitch!)
hope that helps hrtech
