Hi Friends,
Today almost every Behavioral Scientist & Organizational Behavior Expert confirms that - “Values Are Our Standards Of Behavior”.
That mean whatever we produce, as a result of our work is directly proportional to the Values we operate from.
Today whatever we have, we enjoy or we face in our personal & our professional life is an outcome of what we have done in the past (not in the previous incarnation) or one can say –is an outcome of the value system we operated from.
Now the choice of making our future different lies with us. If we decide to do things differently in present, we can surely look forward for a different future as an individual & as an organization too.
In any organization people come from different backgrounds & different value systems while the corporate goal is usually a common one.
Therefore the result or the outcome of work by these people is invariably diverse in nature & sometimes not so precisely in line with the common corporate objective/s.
While comparing Indian Economy with that of Japan’s one of the greatest management thinkers of our times –Peter Drucker says –
“Despite India & Japan sharing the similar inheritance, Japan could show a phenomenal rise in its industrial growth & thus its economy Vis India in the last four decades, only for the reason that Japan could incorporate the latest Management/work Principles into their Value system which perhaps India couldn’t”.
Therefore, I have designed an interesting monthly series – “Winning Ways” to sensitize /familiarize ourselves with the few Corporate – Values & may you can use it for your colleagues. I have used it with an encouraging response.
It is easier said than done that as soon as we share the corporate values people will start operating from them.
Someone has so aptly said for learning that –
“By Hearing I Forget
By Seeing I Remember
By Doing I Learn”
Therefore I request you to kindly contribute to the common learning process by participating in it, thus making it an interesting activity.
I also request you to share with your people with a question from each one as to how they can use these values in their respective work areas.
I welcome all your suggestions & new ideas to further improve the endeavor. Warm Regards, Nicole |
