Hi all,

Does anyone have any information on rates paid as daily travel allowance in IT companies. We are a small IT company. Often, our engineers are required to travel to client sites within the city, and so they travel by bike / car. How does one calculate what is to be paid to these employees in terms of travel costs incurred? Are they paid something for every kilometer of travel? Is there some kind of a policy in place in companies that helps in resolving this issue? I look forward to hearing from you all on this issue.

Dear Friend

It should be fixed as Rs. 1 - 1.5/- per Km if travel by bike and Rs. 5/- if travel by car. or you should fixed some DA like Rs. 70/- to 100/- per day.
