As far as I know the LSI is an offshoot of the Multiple Intelligence Theory which states that there are seven different ways of learning anything and therefore there are "seven intelligences". I’m attaching a document that might be of help to you.

Its usefulness will be determined for what purpose you intend to use it ? On what context ? Is it for identifying persons and trying to understand what their learning style and then focus on delivering inputs accordingly……..Any theory to be practiced is not easy…what is the model that you have….probably that will throw some light on its applicability…

I am giving below some details which might be helpful to you.

CE means - this type of people will only learn through concrete experience like child, who don't have fear of the flame but after first experience of burning then they will not touch burning things or fire etc. You can take example of Wordworth (poet), he first experiences the beutiness of nature & then converted into good poems.

RO means - this type of people will only learn through Reflective Observation like Salim Ali who has written most informative books on birds. He is observing birds through out his life.

AC means - this type of people will only learn through Abstract Concept like Einstein who is scientist & develop the formulas(E=MC2).

AE means - this type of people will only learn through Active Experimentation like Tata who is risk taker in his business then learn out of that & apply in another area.
