Emotional stability implies the ability of controlling one's emotions. Regardless the situation, the person is able to determine, make decision or lead in an objective manner.
I've come across companies whereby management decisions such as annual increment, bonus payment are made dependent on the decision maker's moods. If he is in a bad mood on a particular day, all proposals will be rejected on that day. Henceforth, whenever there's any request or major decision to be sought, the staff have to wait till a day when he is in a good mood to get a more positive result. This type of leadership is inefficient.
