Dear friends,
Globalization, changing customer demands, rapidly evolving technologies — all these forces have caused organizations to reassess their basic function and structure. One effect of this evolution has been the need of the organization to reassess the requirements of their leaders.
The transition from the "old role" to the as yet undefined "new role" can difficult at best, both for the individuals involved and for the organization as a whole. For those who must deal with such changes as increased spans of control, a reduced work force, the elimination of layers of management, partnerships with suppliers, and pressure on margins, the questions "How do I behave" and "What should I do now?" become legitimate concerns.
To assist participants and organizations to navigate their way through the changes in their organization this workshop distinguishes between two paradigms of leadership: Heroic and Post-Heroic. Utilizing assessment instruments (self and other [optional]) and experiential exercises, participants will understand the behavioral roles, skills, and attributes needed to in order to make a successful transition from the current, tradition-based organizational role to the future role in the newer forms of organization.
The Learning Laboratory component of this workshop puts lessons learned, and needed to be learned, into action. Participants learn how to make the transition to Post-Heroic Leadership not by being told, but by experiencing the consequences of their thoughts and actions. Cheers jac |
