Hello Mark,
Good Day..!!!
Bring your BUDDY scheme:
When any vacancy arises in organization, Company informs to all employees that we need this kind of Candidate. Some point will be added or monitory rewards will be given by company who brings candidates. (Its necessary that candidate must be selected)
Befits of this Scheme: 1) Great source for Internal (reference) recruitment. 2) Employee gets satisfaction that; I have placed one of my nearest 3) Very less expensive for company.
Companies like Infosys, Wipro, Tata Chemicals, are using this kind of recruitment system. |

Buddy Scheme in net shell is Mentoring ..... its a platform where a new recruit is given a sr. person to act as mentor, quide and counsellor so as to help him adjust well with the organisation systems and procedures and also act as a coach for motivation, quidance from time to time. Although, this relationship is to do more with professional induction, sometimes it even gets more personal wherein the new recruit feels free to discuss his personal concerns as well.
A good scheme is one where formal identification of mentors is done, briefing to them is given so as to enable them act as one, then a handling over ceremony occurs wherein dos and dont's etc are informed and then the process is monitored by HR on time to time, in some cos. This has been done recently in BSES ( REL, Delhi) and sometime back in Bharti...

| Hello Mark,
Use the 1st tool out of the 7 QC tools i.e. checklist. The Mentors should be given checklists that can have different scales. The mentors can use the checklist to monitor the new joinees and evaluate the transactions performed by them. The scale used could be 3 point scale, a 4 point scale or a 5 point scale depending on the task assigned to the new joinees.
scale options could be
knows the task and did well.
knows the task but can't perform.
doesn't know the task etc.
This would help in identifying training / education gaps.
Please write back if you need further support / clarification. |
