EL+CL entitlement during leave

Hi,

If i am on leave of about one month due to some serious illness ,

during leave, can i entitle of CL+EL

hi,

I would suggest before applying for leave one should refer the company policy on the same. clubing of leave entirely depends on policy terms defined by the company.

Hi,

 

Normally, most of the company Policy says, CL can't be linked with other leaves, very specifically with EL.  The reason for allowing SL along with EL, is due to, during EL period, since the availment  of number of days is more there is a possibility of getting illness and can be clubbed with EL.

Dear Ms. Deepika,

Please refer the company leave policy. As per the rule different types of leave cannot be clubed together. Moreover, in order to avail EL, employees have to apply  their leave in writing to the employer, not less than 7 working days before the date of availing leave. But any no. of  sick leave that you are eligible can be adjusted.

As the name suggests, Casual Leave is generally availed for meeting some immediate unplanned personal exigencies. Whereas EL is availed in well planned manner. Hence, going by the logic & concept EL and CL cannot be clubbed. However, such issues must have been captured in the HR policies.
