Re: As per Leave ACT

It is Factories Act & Shops & establishment act that talks about Leave :-

The essence of the act is that :-

Every workman who has worked for 240 days in the previous year, sholu be give paid leaves @ 1 day for every 20 days 0f work performed by him.

There are sub rules that provide for workman who have joined in between the year, those leave the job during the year, in the event of seperation or sudden death.

The rule only talks about payment of wages/ salary @ 1 day for every 20 days of work performed. It does not make any distinction as to How many PL, CL or SL.

As long as you are complying to the prescribed ratio.

Regards,

Rajesh

Re: As per Leave ACT

It depend on the company policy/management decision on this subject matter.

However generally CL is less than PL & CL lapse with the end of Calender/Financial yr [as applicable]. Many companies categories for medical leaves also. In total it varies from 28 to 30 days in a yr other than 12-15 holidays.
