Hi Dip, In a situation where promotion of employee is not fair, HR has double fold responsiblity : 1. He should convince management about sensitivity involved and the loss to the organisation due to dent on its brand value. 2. In parallel, he should also communicate to the aggrieved employee that promotion is not the only recognition org. does for a top performer. Probably, the employee can be compensated with good rating and increment. HR should also take care of such emp in recognition programmes to boost his morale. Thxs Rakesh |
