We are planning to frame a policy on Birhdays. Do any of your organisation have a policy on Birthdays? If yes, can you please send a copy of your policy?

On an employee's birthday, the HR department sends a greeting to the reporting manager on behalf of the company. The manger in turn gets it signed by all the team members and then passes it on to the Birthday Boy/Girl.

The list of bithdays for the week is also posted on the intranet so that anyone in the company can convey wishes to the person.

A birthday banner is created for the person and pasted on the notice board and on the employee's desk, again to ensure that greetings can be conveyed.

The is no Hard & Fast rule or policy for birthdays of employees.  Only thing is you need to do is write the down the procedures and Plans as how to celebrate the birthday party and present the employee.

Get this procedure approved and file it this is the policy for you now.
