Hi, We are planning to frame a policy on Birhdays. Do any of your organisation have a policy on Birthdays? If yes, can you please send a copy of your policy?
One can have some sweet included in the lunch(if canteen facility available).
There can be a kind of get-together organised n the person can be gifted a card and flower or any gift likewise.
It depends upon the time..... how much u can give on such celebrations....
Need of approval from top management... finalization of monthly budget...
if we have shortage of time then we can arrange birthday party on weekends .
as a comapany policy we celebrate each employees birthday on monthly basis.On every 1-st day of the month we celebrate entire group of employees birthday falling in the same month.
For doing this we send detailed mail to all at least one to two days in advance giving invitation on the floor where we keep ready bunch of flower , cake and gift for all birthday boys and girls
We have clear policy of gifts worth certain amount for each and every year based on this we bye on bulk and the varietry changes each and every year.
Also organise small musical programme, sharing joks , quiz and other interesting facts along with light snacks
Also every month this is being designed by seperate departments and sections therefore giving a sense of ownership to all and cross functional flavour
We do celebrate the employees birthdays in the following fashion:
Send out a mail on a daily basis wishing employees marking a copy to the department ID & to HR.
Every quarter's last working day we invite all the employees whose ever boirthday fell in the quarter monthwise and make them cut cake in front of all employees.
Other employees would sing songs for the ones who are celebrating &
Later all employees from the company will join for snacks,tea/coffee etc etc.
This arrangement is completely taken care by employer in the interests of the employees.
