Behavioral reviews can best be conducted through a 360 degrees feedback i.e. Having more than one persorson rating the employee. this has to include fellow employees, customers and linje manager. basically here you are going to assess or review how employees are living as to the company values or how employees demonstatrete the required behaviour to perfom his /her daily duties.

Just have a one page sheet with all the values listed on it and distibute fellow employees and line manager to rate the behaviour in a scale of 1-3 or A-C where 1 = doesnot demonstarte the said behavior, 2 = does demonstrate to some extent and 3 = Always demonstrate.

regards

Gabriel

Hi,

Behavior reviews are becoming very critical for organizations. As it is not only important to measure and review employees on what they have to deliver (RESULTS) but also how have they achieved the results.

Companies mostly have 4 to 5 critical behaviors/ competencies on which they measure employees. Various rating scales can me used - Frequency of usage, depth of usage - 5 or 7 point scale on which employees are reviewed and rated.

Companies lie GE, Honeywell etc use two-matrix for determining final rating - x axis is WHAT rating and Y is HOW rating.

Most critical element here is to give to employees so that they can work on the same.

Advantage here is that we are not only measuring results - as people can achieve them by various means. But measuring on behaviors gives managers chance to review on how the results were achieved

Disadvantage can be it is subjective measurement and thus can lead to bias
