Hi, Behavior reviews are becoming very critical for organizations. As it is not only important to measure and review employees on what they have to deliver (RESULTS) but also how have they achieved the results. Companies mostly have 4 to 5 critical behaviors/ competencies on which they measure employees. Various rating scales can me used - Frequency of usage, depth of usage - 5 or 7 point scale on which employees are reviewed and rated. Companies lie GE, Honeywell etc use two-matrix for determining final rating - x axis is WHAT rating and Y is HOW rating. Most critical element here is to give to employees so that they can work on the same. Advantage here is that we are not only measuring results - as people can achieve them by various means. But measuring on behaviors gives managers chance to review on how the results were achieved Disadvantage can be it is subjective measurement and thus can lead to bias |
