Hi All!

I am wondering what is the average HR career that one can reach after the completeion of his/her Masters in HR? People start in the executive roles mostly into staffing and recruitment and end up in managerial roles like Manager. Is there any way in which one can kick start this journey and reach to heights like Delivery Managers, VPs, etc..Now lets be careful here. I am not taking into consideration IIMs and IIT graduates whose careers are already well-defined and set up in the extreme ends. We want to build a ladder for an average HR post graduate who wants to get big in life and has all the required capabilities needed to get to the top.

Another strange fact that inspite gobalization catching up like fire in all other fields, HR remains last in the row. I never listen of organizations sending their HR executives abroad on a project? I agree that this requires certain certifications and the knowledge on HR policies of that country. But are organizations really taking this step to train/educate their HR staff to become global HR professionals? If yes, what is the % of companies doing that?

I am also sure that many of us would be looking for chances to work in other countries in HR but the chances  of landing up in this desired HR role comes like a dream. So what are the certifications necessary for such migration apart from SHRM, etc.?

Lets keep hoping that one fine day, HR gets as good as IT (especially in India where attrtion is so high and HR keeps doing the mundane day to day task). And we too become the focussed people in companies.........

Cheers!!!
