Difference between resourcing and recruitment

Can somebody tell me the difference between resourcing and recruitment ?

In short : Resourcing is sourcing or indentifying potencial candidates to suite the requirement,this is position is basically found in an IT Environment.

Recruiment can be termed as the process which involes from the identification or need of the human resource in a particular area uptill the selection process starts. Which can also be said as the act of resourcing.

But, If one is designated as HR-Resourcing- His prime duty is to source candidates and other process like slection process to induction might not be his job profile or a secondary one only. Usually for the Resourcing position Post graduation is not a mandatory. Most of them would be a graduate in an IT setup.This position is found mostly in an IT setup or Call centres where in there is a large amount of turn over of employees.

If one is Designated as HR-Recruitment-He might as well be involved in all processes from recruitment to induction.Usually for the Recruitment position Post graduation is a mandatory. Most of them would be a post graduates. This position can be found in all industrial setup.

This some thing which I could explain to your query with a years experience, expecting some more add on to this query from experts/Senior HRs.

Recruiting- Shortlisting of the right candidate after resourcing, interviewing and selection process for the organization.
