Hi All,

Please share some of the best HR practices of your organization. It will be useful for all of us.

Let me take the lead by sharing one good practice of my organization - we have recently introduced something called mentorship program wherein every new joinee after joining is being assigned a mentor who is essentially a friend, philosopher and guide to that person. The mentor helps his mentee in his smooth induction in the organization, identifying and developing competencies and developing a positive attitude in him right from day one. Its working great till now.

Please share some similar practices of your organization.

Regards,
guy

Recently  we have created employee friendly environment. Employees from are coming to HR department for various claims/certificates. the average no. is 8 to 10 in a day. the manhour for each employee is appx. 1hr 10 mts. We have kept boxes in the shops and requested the employees to put thier request in that boxes, representative of HR deptt. will collect the same in the morning and required certificate/claim will be delivered after lunch. This has saved appx.20 mandays in a month.

Regards

Haffiz

Hello, let me add that the practice shared in your organizations is now-a-days used by many organizations to help the new joinees to blend into their job descriptions. This is also called "Buddying" and is a brilliant kind of ice-breaking for new hires.

In my organization, apart from all these things we have a very good employee engagement program where employees can share their thoughts and opinions on the practices, policies and procedures followed by the organization via the company's intranet site.

This helps the HR to better deal with the employee grievances before hand without much commotion about the issue.

Cheers!

Radhika

Colleagues,

I will also share a one good practice in our company i.e employee of the month.

At end of the month, every employee votes for that employee which they think is the most suitable , hardworking, loyal , teamworker, proficient and following the rules of the office in his or her work.

It increases everybody's morale and motivation to work hard to get that title in a month and then we put who so ever has got highest votes -his name on the notice board.

It also creates more of interaction of the employees with each other.
