Is anyone working in the Retail Industry? India is now witnessing a very good growth in the organised retail industry by way of having many companies investing in chain of department stores, food marts and other commodity selling outlets.

I am interested to know the HR aspects in this industry. I shall be most thankful if any body who is directly employed in retail industry can enlighten me on the wages and other benefits, leave, type of employment, age profile of employees etc especially of the sales staff, by sharing ones own experiences.
