Dear all,

I have gone for an interview for the post of AM-HR and I selected there, but the lady (AM-HR) was not comfortable with me when I was interviewing as she felt that I am more capable then her and she tried so hard so that the Sr. VP (HR) couldn’t select me. But still the Sr. VP(HR) and JMD has selected me. But the problem came when I got a call from SR. VP (HR) and he said that the existing AM-HR is not comfortable with you and u need to tell her sorry. I was shocked to hear these words from him and I told that can u please tell me what is reason behind it…as there was nothing for which I have to apologies to her. He said just take it as a task to buildup a relation with her. I told him this is not a question to build a relation with her only, as I am an her person and I have to maintain a gud relationship with every employee.

Did I do right at that stage?????

Hi,

According to me you should not even give a thought of joining such company. You can judge the maturity level of VP level guy when he is asking youy to apologise for something he himself is not sure of.

i would suggest to go to the lady and tell him that the boss has asked me to apologise to you. please help me to know what you and boss are actually trying to suggest. i hope it will create a ground to start discussion at least. dont get aggresive.

such cases are very common, and you can take this as an opportunity to gain this kind of experience.
