The best way to STOP anything other than related to work is occupy the employees mind completely. You must have sound and effective employee engagement practices along with aggressive deadlines and work pressure.

Also you need to arrange effective training sessions, team building exercises which will improve team cohesiveness.

Ultimately the gossip will be reduced but will not stop completely.

Dear All,

Office gossipping is ok to certain extent however it should not reach to an extent where it effects the productivity of the employees. In order to avoid certain amount of gossipping, it is ideal to have a strict timelines of the deliverables by having a word with the immediate reporting manager and to have a track. This way we can avoid certain amount of gossipping but cannot overcome it all together.

I agree with gayatri. Gossip is a part of any organization. As long as people are bonding in the place gossiping will exist. but one should consider the seriousness of the effect gossiping has on the employees , their work and aslo the organization.
