Hi,

I would like to how effective is Pyschometric tools (DISC/MBTI /FIRO B etc) for Recruitment. My organization earlier used DISC profile /  Assessment, although I havent seen it in use nowadays.  

To me psychometric results  can at best be an 'indicator'  of how a person may react in a given situation. But is this 'indicator' good enough? I have seen a couple of incidents within the organisation where the psychometric result of the candidate matched with the profile for the required job and yet they were sacked later (after abt 6-8 months) for grossly violating company policies.

Dear friend,

The effectiveness of any Psychometric Assessment/tool depends on how genuinely it is answered. If the trainee is true and best of his knowledge while undergoing the assessment then naturally the outcome will be accurate. In my experience I feel MBTI gives more accurate results.
