I try to find the HR ratio for employees for companies with the size of 500-3000. So far the golden rule puts it between 1:50 and 1:250 (1 HR person for every 250 head) the more applicable solution should be somewhere between 1:75 and 1:100. I would appreciate all feedback on your company. The healthcare company I work for has a ratio of 1:47. Thanks! |

Hi!! I opine that the HR ratio is to be decided as per the respective Business Model or Requirement. Generally the companies with a Manpower Count of 3000 are in the Process Management Phase, wherein systems are yet to be improvised with automation. Hence execution of the HR activities need manual intervention. Incase the Business Model seeks for a continous feedback analysis of all the critical divisions, HR plays an important role in this case too. This case would require more number of HR too to ensure proper comprehension of the Business Ideas.
Considering these, I feel 1:250 would be ideal if there are automated systems/ERPs in place & 1:100 would be ideal if the business model requires more HR intervention.
Regards, Pankaj
