Dear Forum,

We are in the process of announcing increment to our executives. Some of my Managers say, Technical Executives salary shaould be always higher than Non-technical executives. Example, in a Pharma industry, technical executives are science / Pharma / Engg graduates and Non-tech are HR / Purchase / Accounts executives.

Is it the real scenario in Indian industries? If yes, how much will be the difference?

Regards,

Shriram

Dear friend

I personally feel that the increments to your executives that you want to announce shortly in your company should not be decided on the basis of tech or non-tech executives.

The productive and performance of the employee should be considered before you plan hike for them. Their contribution to the company in the recent times, their behavior and attitude at work place and are they looking for any self-improvement or not should be the criteria.

With Regards
