i feel that the package given to HR specialization is less as compared to marketing or finance specialized person .Although we pay the same amount of fees, same amount of hardwork as compared to other specialization we get llow package jobs with a bond of 5 years.

Hi Bhoomi,

Firstly we would need to fundamentally agree that unlike sales function - HR is a support function hence it may get a little lesser amount comparitively.

lets try and analyse if your perception of MBA HR being not equal to MBA Finance is correct.

as all of us are of the view that initially HR pays less however i am of the view that any initial job given in any role will be less.

eg - when companies hire campus students (freshers) from college their package band does not seem to be different. means an executive - finance and an executive - hr would be on a similar package on entry. Note - we are talking about the c&d colleges as the a&b MBA colleges should be paying well on entry. Post the entry it is your knowledge, skill and attitude that should help you make money.

Overall my view is that it would depend on the job in HR and the company you are working with.. else there is no reason why HR's cant make money.
