if an employee is absent for more than 10 days without intimation, what is the rule applicable

To curb the absenteeism we can opt for multiple ways of schemes for employees and labour. Track attendance and implement small finance scheme system which benefits employees

I have newely joined this community . I have newely been appointed as HR  manager in our company. i would like to prepare a HR manual for our company. please help me with is. i have no idea about it .

For any kind of absenteeism, whether authorised or unauthorised and for which management felt it un acceptable, employee shall be advised for first two occassions. If repeats the act, warning shall be given.

But under Industrial standing orders, warning, suspension and dismissals are punishments and before punishing any employee he has to be given a chance to put his say before management which is a principal of natural justice.

Issuing a direct warning letter is not a proper disciplinery action.
