Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a brilliant concept developed by David Cooperrider and Prof. Srivastva in the 80s. Indeed, it challenges the notion that there needs to be a problem at hand for change to take place. Most often, the focus of individuals and organizations is on the 'bad part' or the weakness of any particular thing, instead appreciative inquiry shifts the focus on our strengths. It has been described as a positive change process which it is indeed. It has been used in many organizations till date.
