I have had good experience in hiring sales professionals in retail industry. One need to ensure that the person is fitting into the hiring parameters decided by the company like minimum educational qualifications, relevant work exp., selling skills, past record etc. are the most crucial aspects to decide upon. in retail industry you can easily check the past performance or record on any working sales professional.
The challenge generally faced is stability factor. The attrition in retail is generally high as compared to others. To control that the company needs to have strong mechanism in place.
