Please let me know the difference between HR Generalist & HR Administration ?  Which profile is better from career point of view ?

Hi dear nimisha,

HR Generalist - Mostly people handling with recruitment, training like soft skill actvities which is suitable for IT field.

 

HR Administration / IR - directly involve wiht work force and rectifing the grivience of the emplyees mostly suitable for factories and industry back ground.

 

In my own suggestion its better u go head HR&IR bcs most of the top officials in HR from these backgound only. Mine too.

Hi nimisha..

You have a very imp topic. Well i feel it depends a lot on your interest like if you want your career in manufacturing sector manily dealing with trade unions and their grievences than go for that but if you are intersted in service sector and want a job in corporate or so than things like performance mgt. , T & D , employee engagemnt etc will be a good option for you..

Both HR and HR Admin are good profiles. It's your area of Interest where you should get into.

Pure HR: Strategic HR, OD INterventions, Change management, Employee satisfaction, Training and developmenmt, HR BUdgeting, Manpower Planning and Recruitment, HR Due diligence systems, HR policy development

HR ADmin and IR: iNDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, TIME OFFICE MANAGEMENT, Payroll management, employee engagement activities, Office and plant administration, Induction, HR policy Implementation, HRIS and MIS reports
