Career Decision : Advice Needed

Dear Gurus...

I need advice for taking a career decision for my husband.

He is 38 and holds 17 years experience in Front Line sales, project management, retail sales management. He is working with one of e_learning company as a Business Development Manager for their Northern Region. However, he is a Graduate and would want to get into a PG / Managemetn course. But of course getting into a full time course is not possible financially and also career wise. Part time courses are 3 year long which we know.

My query is, if there are any 2 year part time masters courses available in Mumbai towards suburbs specializing into Mkt or is a Masters course through correspondence from any organization like symbi would be as valid ?

Please advise.

You are right in looking at the latter as a workable alternative.
Ask your husband to go for it since it suits your unique requirements..

Hi

The MBA (part time) or executive MA programs offerred by IIM, XLRi, NMIMS etc are fairly decent from the point of view of enhancing the qualification component in the CV

The executive programs would also help gain insights since he is fairly senior in terms of his experience

In Mumbai, you will have plenty of possibilities

Dear janaki,

I would suggest to your hubby to get a pg diploma done from symbosis or narsee monjee who provides the same through distance learning & their course content is also very relevant. Many of my friends have done it from symbi & today they are in good position.
