To implement competency mapping in your organisation, you need to first define the organisation structure. Take position on the structure for further study. You will have to identify minimum 10 positions on Top, Middle and lower position for this study. You need to understand their role from the HOD. Identify the competency (knowledge, skill and attitude) from the role holder, reporting manager, their internal and external customer,and note them. Summary the competency that you understand level wise and create a organisational competency dictationary. This will help you to identity the Gap. This competency dictationary and the profiling of the role will help you to identify the need, and this can be used further in all the HR processes of your organisations
