Minimum Leaves in IT / ITeS

Hi All,

Can you please let me know what is the minimum Leave IT / ITES companies should give in Chennai. As per the S & E act it says 36 Days ( 12 SL, 12 CL & 12 EL) but we are having only 18 Days as of now that is (6 SL, 6CL & 6EL).

Can you please let me know if the current 18 days are ok or we need to make it to 36 days. What is the legal stand on that.

All IT/ITES companies have to comply the provisions of Shops & Establishment Act. Accordingly you have to make it as 36 days (CL-12, SL-12 and EL-12) to have legally complied.
