Dear All,

I've worked with one manufacturing unit & I tendered my resignation. As per the terms & conditions of my appointment & Company's rules I need to serve one-month notice / payment in lieu of notice period. Accordingly I've given 20 days notice & accepted to pay 10 days payment (that practice is prevailing).

My reporting boss also accepted my resignation & entire Company knows from his mouth. One day top man (Plant Head) also asked me & confirmed my leaving. I suppose to leave on 10th of that month as per my Resignation Letter & orally agreed by the Management. My boss assured that Final-Dues will be given on 10th and you will be given with Release Certificate from Unit level (It will serve prime purpose of accepting the new assignment else where) & the Final Release Certificate, Experience Certificate & Salary Certificate will be processed from the Corporate and will be given to you in due course of time.

On 9th my boss is on OD (Intentionally), on 10th he came to office and said I'll give you the Final-Dues letter in the second half. Due to some exigencies he was not available for the second half (?). On 11th I came to the Company to complete No-Dues activity, at that time, my boss was discussing all the issues expect the No-Dues. I asked him directly, Boss please give me No-Dues so that I'll complete the formalities and need to catch the train today (pretty well he knows that I should report on 12th). Then he replied I don't want to relieve you, because I did not find the replacement, you will have to be here until I find the replacement and left the spot without further talks.

Some how, I convinced the new employer by showing my Appointment Order, Latest Pay slip, Confirmation Letter, Performance Pay Letter & some other relevant documents I received from my ex-Company. I've given self-declaration stating that I'll deposit the relieving letter, once I receive from my ex-employer.

I've contacted the HR Executive over phone and I requested him to process the papers. Then he replied that your papers have been processed and all the relevant original copies are lying with your boss (I don't know how the process initiated, without clearing the No-Dues?)

I'm not in a position to take leave, & go to my ex-Company to meet my ex-Boss to collect the papers. It will take two days to go & come. Since I'm new here, & working on new assignment, I'll not be released for two whole days. I've explained this problem to the concerned HR also.

Hardship meted out to an HR Professional by his own fraternity…

I'm worried about the following points:

1.My current employer is insisting the Release Order & Service/Salary Certificate.

2.My ex-boss behaviour is not acceptable, as a professional he should not behave like that. After my leaving also he is splitting on me, it doesn't give good impression among the co-fellows – Infact I was repeatedly informed by ex-colleagues regarding his splitting on me.

I can approach the corporate people, If, I do so, He'll loose the job. As a professional I can't tarnish the image of the Company & my respected ex-Boss.

In the above circumstance, what should I do? Please give me a hand…. help me…please…

Regards,

Nicole
