Insights into Recruitment

Hi All,

I need some insights, questions, in recruitment.

I am in the process of recruiting freshers ( BE engineers EEE, E&C and instrumentation only ) with the following

Qualities : Self motivated, independent, excellent problem solving skills, excellent in handling situations, work under pressure, take up ownership, make things happen, willingness to travel extensively, handling customer, Matured in thinking, Loyalty, Focus on long term financial goals, flexible mindset in accepting any kind of challenges.

I have got a pool of 10000+ freshers profiles.
Our selection process contains

a) Percentage and the engineering branch.
b) Technical, Analytical test.

I thought of conducting one more test which can help me in selecting the right candidates with above qualities set by company. The entire selection process has to be completed with a time frame of 1 to 2 months.

Is there any other better/ improved way to shortlist?

I need good indirect questions, situation questions, any reference material or sites to find a better solution in evaluating the candidates.

Thanks in advance.

Zaal

Re: Insights into Recruitment

 Hi,

Since you have got limited time frame and number of potential candidates is high, along with analytical ability, in my opinion, the best way to further filter and get the matching candidate is to analyse them on situational cases.

By this I mean, based on the types of job they are supposed to do, you should take a written test on the domain knowledge. The scores of analytical ability as well as domain knowledge will help you to point towards the best match.

Regards,

Ashish
