This is the salary structure that most of the IT companies follow, including mine :
Base Pay Basic Salary* House Rent Allowance* (40% of Basic) Fixed Benefits Conveyance* Educational* (Rs. Per Annum) Medical Allw.* (Rs. Per Annum) Leave Travel Allowance ( 1 Month Basic per Annum) Long Term Benefits Provident Fund *(12% of Basic) Group Personal Accident Insurance Medical Insurance Gratuity TOTAL

The calculation of the salary in an IT industry is based upon his EEQ (Education, Experience Quotient) You may redesign your salary structure (assuming your co. already has an existing one) based upon the above EEQ. Regards, Jigar
