Hello,

I need to send some of our employees to Belgium on Deputation. We have received the approval of residence permit for them.  Now, we require assistance in processing C&B for these folks.

Can someone help provide some details around this and what are the applicable taxes / laws of the land that are required to be known to these employees.

Also, let me know of any consulting companies that provide these services and charges that would be applicable. In addition, I would appreciate if you can assist with:

1.List of Holidays in Belgium.
2.Corporate  / general Do’s & Don’ts while in Belgium.
3.Rental Accommodation & costs + other services / maintenance related costs
4.Transportation – Car / Bus  / Train
5.Cost of living
6.Health Insurance for employee / family. Can this be done in India rather than doing this in Belgium?
7.Amount of Salary payable as per your Information for Project Managers and Software engineers along with the structure that will determine the salary they can take home after Tax deductions. So what would be the applicable taxes?
8.What are our tax liabilities / provisions that we need to make as an Indian company?
9.Mode of salary payment.
10.What do they need to do when they land in Belgium.

These are my thoughts. Let me know if you have any other thoughts.  A quick response would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Paru

Lots of answers can be found on various sites with the topic Belgium or official site like Belgium embassy website. I advise you to use an international working consultant on taxes, tax treaties between India and Belgium, payments, insurances etc. I have excellent experience with PWC (Price Waterhouse Coopers). They are not cheap but they give solid advise and for all your questions it is a one-stop-shop..

Hope this helps :-)
