Goals you set for yourself or others, should be :- 

S For Specific

M For Measurable

A For Achieveable

R For Realistic and

T For Time-based.

Dear Nikhil,

Thanks for the excellent article. However, we take SMART Goals little differently.

S - Specific

M- Measurable

A - Aspirational Goals ( not easily achieved - stretched goals )

R - Reviewable ( Goals have to be reviewed from time to time )

T - Time Bound
