360 Degree Appraisal

I am in process of implementing 360 Degree appraisal in my organization. i have consulted many books, article on the same. I want to incorporate three types of questionnaire in this evaluation system.

I mean that one individual will have to fill three types of questionnnaire wherein one will be for his/ her superior, second for subordinate and third for pear. All these questionnaires will have different parameters. Like if is suppose to evaluate his boss then the questionnaire for boss will have parameters different than the parameters mentioned in the questionnaire of pears and subordinate.

please present your views on the same. and let me know if any other option is available. also forward me some sample questionnaires if possible.

Thanks in advance

Re: 360 Degree Appraisal

I agree that it only works for developmental purposes and therefore its vital to make it anonymous. The individual being evaluated and the person(s) responsible for the system should have access to the appraisals. If relevant you can involve the coach/mentor of the evaluatee.

Re: 360 Degree Appraisal

Dear Pooja sharma,

My sincere advise is to you, instead of 360 degree, implement KRA based or competency based appraisal. it works very well for you.

Re: 360 Degree Appraisal

Dear Pooja,

i would like to know whether you have implemented 360 degree appraisal process by now or no.

If no, then let me tell you instead of 360 degree you can implement KRA system and self appraisal along with it. this is much more useful and less time consuming in comparison to 360 degree.

Let me tell you 360 degree sometimes might become tidious as it takes lots of time to conduct such appraisal. Once you give the appraisal forms it would become difficult for you to collect the information back.

Also for companies/industries which have large amount of employees this method becomes difficult to conduct.

Regards,

Kriti
