Best Practices in measuring Training Effectiveness

Hi,

Can someone please share with me the "best practices" in their organization of measuring/tracking the training effectiveness at Level 3 (Transfer of Learning back to work)?

Many Thanks

Rashmi

Re: Best Practices in measuring Training Effectiveness

Hi Rashmi,

Are you asking about the third level or stage(transfer) of kirk patricks training evaluation? hey i read in a site were it says a monitor or interview or some regular assessment can be made weekly or daily to know whether the training has imparted knowledge and they are able to implement it in their work. But I have a doubt if training is imparted in a large scale(more than 500) and if the training is on behavouir skills how it could be measured?if anyone comes to know about it please do share it.

Cheers

Gayatri

Re: Best Practices in measuring Training Effectiveness

Training starts from TNI. We do TNI as per the deficiencies we see at the workplace or within the organization. TNI is done at three different levels i.e.

Organizational Level
Group Level
Individual Level

The TNI is the key. You have to draft the desired levels of performance at workplace & map the employees against it before going through the training & than after/within 60 days of training.

You can see the changing scores of individual in terms of % on the required parameters.

Thanks

Re: Best Practices in measuring Training Effectiveness

I have been researching for a comprehensive L&D framework, did learn about Kirkpatrick Taxonomy during my MBA. I believe it is a classic traditional model, but would love to hear from veterans about some pointers of some others alternate L&D frameworks I can study
