Various departments in any organization have a return on investment(ROI) factor and this applies to Training too. Every section and every individual is appraised by the HR department for the ROI factor and the cost based involvement. Be it sales, production, accounts, R & D, etc. Yet somehow in the HR there is no ROI and it is not responsible for anything connected with ROI. So why does Training have to be an HR domain but adhere to ROI. Should Training department not be a separate department in an organization? I may be wrong but please do correct me if I am ignorant. This is just a passing thought and maybe someone would enlighten me on this as I am curious.
