Absenteism Benchmark

I request all members to share about the benchmark on Absenteeism percentage in IT services industry.

It should not be more han 5%.

We need to take initiatives to lead, motivate, analyse people & take appropriate and timely steps when required to control this.

In today's world, we can't afford  even 1 unplanned manday loss.

i think the bench mark will be difrent 4 difrent catogry of employes workers have a tendency of high absence

Hi,

Absenteeism % ideally it should be between 5-7%, However, if absenteeism goes beyond 7% HR should pitch in arrest the Absenteeism

Can you clarify this 5 % is on overall strength basis or how do you actually calculate it ??
