Re: Appraisals during Maternity Leave
Hi Radhika, Good querry raised by u. According to rules every female employee ie entitled for a maternity leave. It is unfair to deny her appraisal only bcoz she was not available during the period of appraisal. Appraisal for such employees can be done for the rest of the period on pro rata basis. The only question I would like to raise here is what if a male employee is on Paternity leave or on leave for any other genuine reason for which he cannot be in office during the time of appraisal? Is appraisal going to be denied or questionned for him also? Is this a Gender based issue? If appraisal is denied it would only De Motivate the female employees of the organisation. Rachana
