Gender bias in recruitments

I've noticed one thing during my tenure. Most recruiters if they happen to be guys, are biased towards the fairer sex (if they happen to be smart enough).

I remember my campus days when we could predict well in advance who'll get past the interviews (after the written tests were cleared) and we were right most of the time. Even if there were better male candidates for the job, he was rejected in favor of a girl. Don't know if anyone among you have guts to admit this fact (yes, its a fact, i've seen it in more than fifty companies)

regards,

reshma

Re: Gender bias in recruitments

Agreed Aparna, i think here we were trying to share following,

1. experiences took place in our career life on recruitment happening on gender bias way and how gender at times is a question mark.

2. female inclusivity in workforce of all sectors.
